George (Paul Rudd) and Nina (Jennifer Aniston) seem like the perfect
couple. They share a cozy Brooklyn apartment, a taste for tuna
casserole, and a devotion to ballroom dancing. They love each
other. There's only one hitch: George is gay. And when Nina announces
she's pregnant, things get especially complicated. Nina's
overbearing boyfriend - the baby's father - wants marriage. Nina
wants independence. George will do anything for a little affection,
but is he ready to become an unwed surrogate dad? This comedy/drama
pushes the tender lines between love, sex, and friendship.

Jaime Escalante (Edward James Olmos) is a mathematics teacher in a
school in a hispanic neighbourhood. Convinced that his students have
potential, he adopts unconventional teaching methods to try and turn
gang members and no-hopers into some of the country's top algebra and
calculus students. Dr. Amar Bose, MIT Professor and Chairman of Bose
Corporation, introduces the film. He recounts his personal visits to
Jaime Escalante's classes, and how they completely changed his views
on learning, teaching, and the amazing capabilities inherent in every
one of us.
